Note: This Service Pack does not apply to AutoCAD Plant 3D 2014 Extensions 1 or 2 (Subscription). The updates in this Service Pack are included in Extension 2.

Primary Issues Resolved by This Service Pack
Issues fixed with this Service Pack:
P&ID Drawings
- A new slregroup command has been added to make it easier to manage line groups. For more information, see About P&ID Line (SLINE) Grouping.
- The Edit Sline Group... command was not available in the shortcut menu.
- Control valve substitution did not work. If the substitution palette does not display correctly, you can erase and replace the control valve.
Customer Reported (CER) Defects
- If the program shuts down unexpectedly you can report the error to Autodesk. We have addressed numerous errors reported by you with this service pack.

Fixes that apply to AutoCAD Plant 3D only:
3D Model
- File open command would fail when a drawing is opened that contains custom entities with embedded 3D solids.
- Return bends would not always align with routed pipe.
- Parts created with plantpartconvert could not be selected in the Spec Editor.
- Ladders and structure did not always display correctly in an Ortho view.
- Butterfly valves placed into a short pipe segment could cause the program to shut down unexpectedly.
Isometric Drawings
- Splitting at a branch would sometimes place components outside the draw-area.
- Tap weld was assigned to the same line number as the olet.
- Improvements to isometric drawings including annotation and dimension placement.
Spec Editor
Autocad
- Flange thickness in inches did not update correctly for metric projects.
AutoCAD Updates
AutoCAD 2014 Service Pack 1 is included in this service pack. For a list of primary issues resolved see AutoCAD_2014_and_AutoCAD_LT_2014_SP1_Enu.htm.
Before You Begin
As you prepare to install this Service Pack, keep the following in mind:
Back Up Custom Files
It is recommended that you back up all custom CUIX, MNR, and MNL files before you apply this Service Pack.
Administrative Privileges
During installation, you will be prompted for the original installation media or a network image. In order to apply this Service Pack, you must have administrative privileges to install and uninstall products.
Network Deployment
Administrators can deploy this Service Pack over a network using the Deployment Wizard.
About Your Product
After you install the Service Pack, updated product information displays in the About dialog box.
Reboot
After you install, it is recommended to reboot your system even if not prompted.
Apply This Service Pack to a Stand-Alone Installation
Follow these instructions to install this Service Pack on a single computer.
- Download this Service Pack and save it to any folder.
- If required, insert the product media (for example, the AutoCAD installation disc).
- Find the folder where you saved the Service Pack and double-click the executable (EXE) file.
Follow these instructions to install this Service Pack on multiple computers using your local network.
Autocad Plant 3d
- Download this Service Pack and save it to any shared folder on your local network.
- Find the shared folder where you saved the Service Pack, and double-click the executable (EXE) file.
Note: Installation through your local network using the CAD Manager Control Utility is not supported for this Service Pack.
Uninstall This Service Pack
Note: After uninstalling the service pack you must use the Reinstall option of the AutoCAD Plant 3D 2014 or P&ID 2014 installer.
If the service pack was installed as part of a merged deployment, you cannot uninstall the service pack alone (the service pack still displays as an Installed Update).
Windows 7 / Windows 8
- From the Start menu (Windows), click Control Panel.
- Click Programs.
- Click Programs and Features.
- In the Programs and Features window, in the left pane, click View Installed Updates.
- Find the appropriate Service Pack in the list of updates. Click Uninstall.
